With an aim to further improve the cultivation and education of international students, and incentivize them to achieve outstanding academic performance in both class study and scientific research, SYAU launches Outstanding International Student Scholarship.

Who is to be awarded?

SYAU Outstanding Scholarship for International Students (hereby also known as Outstanding Scholarship) welcomes undergraduate international students who have achieved excellent academic records while studying at SYAU based on the each year’s exam results and assessments of their day performance.

Scholarship Award Scheme

Major Award

The recipient of Major Award of Outstanding Scholarship will be waived one-year accommodation fee, equivalent of RMB 9600 Yuan for PhD international student, or one-year accommodation fee, equivalent of RMB 4200 Yuan for undergraduate and graduate international students.

Minor Award

The recipient of Minor Award of  Outstanding Scholarship will be waived half-year accommodation fee of the fresh year, equivalent of RMB 4800 Yuan for PhD international student, or half-year accommodation fee of the fresh year, equivalent of RMB 2100 Yuan for undergraduate and graduate international students.

Scholarship Application Procedures

1. The time for the Outstanding Scholarship application starts from March 1st each year and the applicants shall submit the application before the end of June each year.

2. The applicants shall submit the Outstanding International Scholarship application form and provide the relevant certificate and exam results at the same time.

Supplementary Articles

   All students who have been awarded with the outstanding scholarship, once are found with behaviors as follows, the school shall cancel his or her qualification of scholarship, withdraw the scholarship and honor certificates:
1. Break the rules and disciplines of SYAU, laws of China.
2. Not register on time without approve, leave school, be absent from class for over two weeks for non-health reasons.
3. Fail more than 30% of the courses during the period of scholarship taken.
4. Students who fail to go up to the next grade.
5. Students who discontinue his or her studies for personal reasons after scholarship.

The Scholarship Evaluation

After the school has recognized the qualification of the applicants, Office of International Exchange, SYAU will carry out evaluation and assessment by the principle of fair, public, fair and alternative the best. The scholarship evaluation results will be informed of to the recipients around July 15th each year by Office of International Exchange.

Terms and Conditions

•The scholarship will be deducted from the tuition fees payable to SYAU upon enrollment in September of the current year.

•Scholarships cannot be used with any other University Scholarships.

•The scholarships cannot be deferred.

•The University reserves the right to vary all or any scholarship awards and regulations at its own discretion.

Who is to be awarded?

   SYAU Freshman Scholarship for International Students (hereby also known as Freshman Scholarship) is open for undergraduate, graduate student (for master’s or doctoral degree studies) and is subject to the first-time enrollment in the University.

Eligibility of Recipient

•Be self-funded international students
•Have applied to study at SYAU by 1 May of the current year and start to study in SYAU in September
•Outstanding academic performance and record in the currently highest degree studies.

The Regulation of Scholarship

The students awarded the Freshman Scholarship must register within the regular time as shown in the admission letter and the scholarship can not be deferred. Students awarded the Freshman Scholarship once committed the following behaviors will be subject to suspension or withdrawal of the scholarship according to the relevant regulations:

(1) violating the rules of China and the University.
(2) 30% of the test results are below the pass

(3) Scholarship recipients for personal reasons suspend or stop their studies after getting the scholarship will be terminated in their eligibility for scholarship.
