On October 22nd, a China-French education fair was held in Shenyang and SYAU’s College of International Education (International Exchange Office) participated in the event at the invitation of General Consulate of France in Shenyang.
During the event, Professor Zhang Guangsheng, Dean and Director of College of International Education (International Exchange Office), SYAU met with Marc Lamy, French Consul-general in Shenyang and Director of Campus France in Shenyang. Professor Zhang, briefed the officers of French General Consulate the introduction to SYAU highlighting SYAU’s specialty majors and disciplines in which great potential and interest are shared in establishing and further developing cooperative relations with French higher institutions. The Consul-general welcomed the participation of SYAU in the event and said there would be a large space for cooperation between Chinese universities and French universities especially in agricultural fields for China and France are all major agriculture countries in the world. Director of Campus France in Shenyang, Antoine Guillemet expressed hope to enhance cooperation and seek to initiate more student exchange and research collaboration activities between Shenyang Agricultural University and French agricultural universities.
To follow up the cooperative agreement between Shenyang Agricultural University and FESIA [Fédération des Ecoles Supérieures d’Agriculture], this year, student exchange program has been launched between Shenyang Agricultural University and Grand Ecole D’ingenieurs de Purpan, member of FESIA, which so far has been working out very well. Taking the meeting as another opportunity, SYAU will seek to develop cooperative relations with French counterparts in an aim to providing students of both sides good access to knowledge in agricultural science and technology in a global sense on the basis of win-win partnership.
