On September 30 ^th, the closing ceremony of 2015 International Training Workshop on Safe Production of Grains, sponsored by Ministry of Science and Technology, P.R. China was held in Shenyang Agricultural University. Prof. Zhao Xinli, member of International Academy of Sciences for Europe and Asia and deputy director of China Science and Technology Exchange Center and Prof. Wang Tieliang, vice president of Shenyang Agricultural University delivered speeches of congratulations. Director of International Exchange Office, Liaoning Science and Technology Bureau also attended the event.

In his speech, Professor Zhao Xinli, congratulated the members of this year’s workshop and sang a high praise of Shenyang Agricultural University for its years of standard arrangements of the workshop. Prof. Zhao also in his speech introduced China’s foreign aid policies, highlighting the essence of the speech made by President Xi at the United Nations Development Summit, Seeking Common Sustainable Development and Developing Win-win Partnership, and emphasizing the important role of higher institutions in advancing national development.

SYAU vice president, Prof. Wang Tieliang passed on his congratulation to the members of the workshop and called on them to set out from this workshop experience to further enhancing international cooperation in improving safe production and yield of grains.

Prof. Ji Mingshan with SYAU College of Plant Protection and Gazor Hamidereza from Egypt addressed the audience representing teachers and member of this year’s workshop respectively.

This year, the workshop welcomed 20 members from 9 countries including Iran, Sudan, Pakistan, Egypt, Bangladesh, Turkey, Thailand, and Indonesia. During the 20 days of training, the members were exposed to a clearing and systematic understanding of the achievements, status quo and development trend of China’s grain production through attending lectures, experiments, visits and discussion. Members of the workshop prepared some gifts for staff of College of International Education (International Exchange Office) for their hard work and dedication put into the workshop.

Also present at the closing ceremony are heads of College of International Education (International Exchange Office) and College of Plant Protection.
