On September 11 ^st, the opening ceremony of 2014 International Training Workshop on Food Security and Production Technology, sponsored by International Cooperation Department of Ministry of Science and Technology, China and Liaoning Provincial Bureau of Science and Technology and organized by Shenyang Agricultural University, was held in SYAU. Professor Wang Tieliang, vice president of SYAU, attended and addressed the opening ceremony. Professor Yu Zhiguo from College of Plant Protection and workshop member from Iran delivered a speech respectively representing workshop lecturers and trainees.

There are 20 members admitted to the training workshop, who come from 7 countries including Iran, Thailand, Mongolia, Pakistan, Egypt, Nigeria and Bangladesh. During the coming 20 days of the workshop, the members will study systemically and understand the achievements and academic development in food security and food production in China.

Present at the ceremony were also heads and officers from SYAU’s International Exchange Office, Office of Science and Technology, College of Plant Protection and College of Food Sciences.
