On September 11, the "Food Safety and Production Technology International Training Class" held its opening ceremony at SYAU. This training class is organized by SYAU with Department of International Cooperation with Ministry of Science and Technology and Shenyang Science and Technology Bureau as the sponsors. Present at the meeting were Zhang Ling, director of Shenyang Science and Technology Bureau and its deputy director Jiang Jun and president of SYAU, Zhang Yulong.
The opening ceremony was addressed by SYAU’s president Zhang Yulong and SYSTB’s deputy director, Jiang Jun. Associate professor Xie Liyong from the College of Agronomy, SYAU and Panida Boonyaritthongchai, a trainee from Thailand made a speech at the meeting on behalf of teachers and students, respectively.
The training class is attended by 15 students from 8 countries including Bangladesh, Thailand, Uzbekistan, Sudan, Mongolia, Pakistan, Egypt, Bulgaria. The class will last 20 days, during which the trainees will be given a systematic course on progress and academic achievements having been made in China’s food safety and production, through lectures, field tour, etc.
Directors from Office of International Exchange, Office of Teaching Affairs, Office of Science and Technology and College of Agronomy also attended the ceremony.
