On the afternoon of 11th September, with Department of International Cooperation of Ministry of Science and Technology and Shenyang Science and Technology Bureau as the sponsor and co-sponsor, the opening ceremony of 21st Century Sustainable Agricultural Plant Protection Theoretical Technique International Training Class hosted by SYAU was held in the multifunctional lecture hall of SYAU. The opening ceremony was addressed by SYAU’s party secretary, Guo Mingshun, on behalf of SYAU and Xiao Tie with China Science and Technology Exchange Center, Ministry of Science and Technology, on behalf of Department of International Cooperation of Ministry of Science and Technology. Deputy dean of College of Plant Protection, SYAU and Orkun Kovanci from Turkey’s Uludağ University also made a speech at the ceremony on behalf of teachers and trainees, respectively.
      The training class is attended by 20 trainees from 10 countries including Turkey, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Iran, Bulgaria, Korea, Algeria, South Africa, Russia and Mongolia. Lasing for 20 days, the training class will offer the trainees systemic study and understanding of the achievements and progress China has made in plant protection through making lectures, conducting professional visits.
     The opening ceremony was chaired by Chi Daocai, director of Office of International Relations, SYAU. Present at the ceremony were also Jiang Jun, researcher with Department of International Cooperation of Shenyang Science and Technology Bureau, and heads of relevant departments of SYAU.
