
On December 27th, the first Northeast Landscape Architecture Development Forum, jointly organized by Shenyang Agricultural University, Northeast Forestry University, Liaoning Society of Landscape Architecture and Jilin Society of Landscape Architecture, was held at SYAU. Ge Jieli, president of the Liaoning Provincial Society of Landscape Architecture, and Guo Hongjiang, secretary-general of the Jilin Provincial Society of Landscape Architecture, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. Xu Xinwu, vice president of SYAU, delivered a welcoming speech.
The forum, taking "Education Empowering and Innovation Driven" as the theme, invited Professor Wang Xiangrong, College of Landscape Architecture, Beijing Forestry University and editor-in-chief of the Chinese garden journal, to make a plenary speech titled "Improve stock efficiency - from gray infrastructure dominated city to natural and human and cultural city".
The forum was divided into three sessions, with 16 prestigious experts delivering special reports. The special reports covered topics, including talents cultivation, scientific and technological innovation, practical examples of project, landscape architecture curriculum reform and integration innovation education, artificial intelligence, virtual reality technology applied in the field of plant breeding, ecological evaluation, etc., and demonstrated the value of landscape in ecological restoration and cultural inheritance. Experts and scholars attending the event had in-depth exchanges and discussions on exploring the transformation path of "improving the quality of existing resources" in the landscape architecture industry.
In the future, the northeast landscape architecture development forum will be hosted in turns in liaoning province, jilin province, heilongjiang province and Inner Mongolia autonomous region, aiming to provide a joint scientific discussion and innovation coordination platform for the undertakings of northeast cold landscape architecture discipline construction, personnel training and scientific and technological innovation.
Over 240 experts, scholars and industry representatives attended the conference.
